Our Journey
Committed to Excellence in Early Childhood Education
“God’s kingdom is like an acorn that a farmer plants. It is quite small as seeds go, but in the course of years it grows into a huge oak tree, and eagles build nests in it.”
Matthew 13:31-32 MSG
Being as Little as acorns is not a limitation to how big the legacies that we leave can be, it is only the starting point.
That is why at Little Acorns we value the foundation of our learning journey because a building can only go as high as the depth and strength of its foundation.

Our History
I am Kafeero Margaret, the founder of Little Acorns Nursery and Daycare and a teacher with experience of over 30 years of teaching and serving as a headteacher of Lohana Academy from 2009 - 2023. As a headteacher, my experience revealed systematic issues affecting young learners. These sparked my desire to create a space to address those challenges.
By starting my own kindergarten, I aim to tackle the issue at the grassroot inorder to provide a foundation for lifelong learning, social responsibility, and emotional well-being and nurturing the next generation of compassionate, curious and confident individuals.

Celebrating The Achievements That Are Dear To Us
Colour Day 2025
Colour Day was a vibrant and engaging event that brought together pupils, teachers and staff in a kaleidoscope of colours.
The excitment began days in advance, with pupils and teachers eargerly anticipating the event. Colourful ballons and posters set the tone for a fun filled day.
On the day of the event, all were dressed in attire representing their favourite colour. The atmosphere was electric with bursts of laughter as everyone admired each other's colourful outfits.
The celebration featured a range of activities including art sessions, colour hunt, colour sorting and so many others.
The Colour Day celebration was resounding success, promoting creativity, teamwork, and self expression. It was a wonderful way to break the monotony of routine classes and create lasting memories for pupils and staff alike.
Bye-bye Colour Day, see you in 2026!
Birthdays
Birthday celebrations are a special highlight for our young learners. On these days, they felt loved and celebrated as they marked another year of growth and adventure.
Cake and healthy snacks are shared with classmates as the cheerful screams created a festive atmosphere.
The birthday celebrations are a wonderful way to acknowledge that each one of the children is special and that a day and occasion is set aside just to celebrate their uniqueness and growth. They foster a sense of community and belonging while encouraging social interaction, sharing and kindness.
